A Legacy of Light

A Legacy of Light

New Trustee and legacy donor Trish Foschi approaches her philanthropy as a deeply personal act-one rooted in gratitude, remembrance, and a shared love of the arts. Over the years, she has made generous contributions to funds at the Museum of International Folk Art, the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture, and the New Mexico Museum of Art. Most meaningfully, she funded the Stuart Hall Light Gallery at the Vladem Contemporary in honor of her late husband, creating a luminous space that reflects both artistic innovation and a heartfelt tribute.

Trish and her husband shared a deep appreciation for creativity and the role museums play in enriching community life. Supporting the arts was something they valued together, and through the gallery, she found a way to celebrate his spirit and the inspiration they both felt in these spaces. The gallery stands not only as a showcase for the museum's brilliant collection of glass and plexiglass art, but also as a place where his memory continues to shine.

A Connection and a Commitment

Her commitment to New Mexico's cultural institutions grew from a strong sense of connection and belonging. Trish shares, "When I moved to New Mexico from California 15 years ago, I was amazed at the extent to which the State supports the arts, to a greater extent than California does. After speaking with my financial advisor, I realized I was in a position to make an investment in the future of our wonderful world-class museums and cultural places. I'm so pleased I have. I feel such a strong connection to New Mexico and my community."

Through her estate plan, Trish has ensured that her support will continue, helping the Stuart Hall Light Gallery-and the museums she loves-serve and inspire future generations. For her, a legacy gift is both a practical act of stewardship and a lasting expression of love.

Like Trish, many supporters find that a legacy gift is a meaningful way to express gratitude for the inspiration, education, and connection these institutions provide. A bequest can help preserve collections, expand programs, and ensure that the arts remain accessible to future generations.
